This page will provide you with answers to most common questions about bringing Hypnotist Barbara McGhee to your event.
HOW ARE VOLUNTEERS SELECETED FOR A STAGE HYPNOSIS SHOW?

Barbara will open her performance with a pre-talk about hypnosis that is designed to get your audience members excited about participating in the show. The pre-talk will also dispel any myths about hypnosis.  The end result will be audience members excited about being a part of the show and a desire to experience hypnosis.

 

Interested volunteers will participate in a short suggestibility test designed to give the Hypnotist an idea of the best volunteer subjects.

 

Selected volunteers will then be invited on stage for an AWESOME and UNIQUE experience.

 

HOW LONG IS A STAGE HYPNOSIS SHOW?

The Barbara McGhee Comedy Hypnosis Stage shows can last for 60 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on the request of the client.

 

SHOULD I MAKE THE PERFORMANCE A SURPRISE FOR MY GUESTS?

It is not recommended that your guests be “surprised” about your planned Comedy Stage Hypnosis Show.  It is far more beneficial to inform your guests of the unique entertainment that you have booked for them.

 

Stage Hypnosis works best with the principals of anticipation and expectation.  By sharing and promoting your event in advance, participants will have something interesting to talk about and have something specific to look forward to.  In addition, you will greatly enhance the quality of your volunteers.

 

DO YOU CARRY AN INSURANCE POLICY?

Yes. Barbara McGhee carries a $2,000,000 entertainer’s liability policy.

 

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF A SHOW?

Posting a flat fee for shows is impossible, as there are several factors to be considered when quoting prices. Several variables factor into planning each unique event.  Some of these factors are: travel, hotel accommodations, type of event (corporate vs. nonprofit), etc. Please call for a quote.

 

DO VOLUNTEERS HAVE FUN?

Volunteers have described the experience as UNFORGETTABLE.  Unlike some Stage Hypnotist, I give volunteers the suggestion that they will remember EVERYTHING that happened on stage after the show.  Volunteers will actually have the most fun than anyone at the event. Afterward, they will feel wonderful, refreshed and very happy that they participated.  Barbara makes sure that all of her volunteers are treated with dignity and respect.

 

DO YOU PERFORM EVENTS IN OUR AREA?

Barbara McGhee is able to travel to all areas of the United States to provide an AWESOME show for audiences everywhere.

 

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL SHOW REQUIREMENTS?

Barbara McGhee’s Comedy Stage Hypnosis Show can be performed in auditoriums, ball rooms, gymnasiums, clubs and even outdoors.  Any place that there is a room for a performer and audience, you can look forward to an AMAZING show.

 

The following is needed for all shows:

• Stage area to accommodate 12-20 straight back armless chairs for volunteers.

• Quality sound system with a hand held wireless microphone

• Input for performer supplied IPOD that generates sound affects for the show
